We’ve all been there: you’re deep into your work, maybe coding, crafting an email, or perfecting a presentation, and suddenly, you realize you’re late to a meeting. Despite notifications and reminders, it’s easy to get distracted and miss the start of an important call.
It’s a problem we’ve all faced, myself included. The dreaded message from a co-worker saying, “The meeting started. Where are you?” followed by the rush to join, often one or two minutes late, is far too common. This not only disrupts your workflow but can also give off a poor impression to your colleagues.
To solve this, we a developed a desktop Mac application that ensures you’ll never be late to a meeting again.
How It Works
Our application integrates seamlessly with Google Calendar, Zoom Desktop, and Google Meet, sitting quietly in your status bar and springing into action just when you need it. Here’s how it ensures punctuality:
- Automatic Meeting Launch: When a meeting starts, the app automatically opens the meeting window front and center on your computer. Whether it’s a Zoom call or a Google Meet session, you’ll be ready to join with no delay.
- Privacy First: For Zoom meetings, the app will automatically turn off your video and mute your microphone as you join, addressing any privacy concerns and giving you a moment to prepare before turning on your camera.
- Smart Meeting Management: The app is intelligent enough to manage overlapping meetings effectively:
- If your current meeting is running late, it won’t kick you out to join the next one. Instead, it will notify you that you’re running late to your next meeting.
- It can recognize if you’ve already joined the current meeting early and won’t open the meeting window again, avoiding any confusion or disruptions.
